Who We Are and How to Reach Us!

Our Board of Directors and volunteers are dedicated to the mission of saving lives and ending breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures. A group of women in Lexington wanted to make a difference because their lives were being touched through family and friends by breast cancer, took a leap of faith and stepped out to start the first Race for the Cure^® in Lexington in 1996. It all started with that first step forward and continues on with Pink Tie Gala, Rally for the Cure^® and other efforts to raise awareness and dollars for the cause. We won’t stop until each citizen in central, southern and eastern Kentucky is breast cancer free!
